£15 million in funding from Metro Bank
1st June 2018
We are delighted to announce that as part of our continued efforts to provide social housing across the South East, we have secured a staggering £15 million in funding from Metro Bank.
As part of our 2020 vision, (first established in 2015) we have been turning our focus to providing a real social benefit for the local communities in the areas we operate in. Our goal was to provide 5,000 residential units by 2020. To achieve this, we collaborated with local authorities and developed our social ‘build to rent’ model, which we are rolling out across the South East to provide social housing for people in vulnerable or challenging situations.
The £15 million backing will go towards the continued development of this, with the funds supporting rent the conversion of nine-storey office building in the centre of Essex, into 200 homes for social housing.
Mario Carrozzo, CEO Caridon Group, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have secured funding from Metro Bank. Affordable housing is such an important part of communities and is all too often forgotten. The team has worked hard to achieve this and this all important funding will help us to continue to make a difference to so many people across the local communities that we work in.”
