Aged 14, Mario showed a natural aptitude for enterprise while still at school, working alongside his father in the family property and catering business. It was here that he gained invaluable life skills and experience, which played an instrumental part in his later success.
Deciding to go it alone, Mario acquired and developed his first property aged 18 and he used the experience to expand his skills in planning, construction and housing, developing a wealth of contacts in the property and banking sector along the way.
Over the past 25 years Mario has continued to run a number of successful property businesses and in spite of the early 1990's recession, he has generated a sizeable self-made portfolio.
His instinctive ability to source an opportunity whilst adding value is fundamental, making him a true entrepreneur and property magnate.
In 2009, following another economic downturn, Mario founded Caridon Property Ltd, having identified a gap in the market to assist individuals hit by a troubled economy. Using his infinite knowledge and experience as a landlord, he pioneered one of the first rent guarantee schemes in London, assuring a reliable income for landlords and a guarantor for vulnerable tenants who were struggling to find accommodation
Caridon Property continues to thrive and is now part of the award-winning Caridon Group, a multi-million pound property development and lettings company, dedicated to serving the local communities they operate in.

Abbas graduated with a BA Hons in Accountancy and Finance in 2001 and within two years had sold his first successful business for a profit.
He grew up in an entrepreneurial family and after a short career in accounting, Abbas felt he needed a broader challenge that could fulfil his appetite for growth and success. He moved into property management and grew his business to manage 150 properties and employed seven portfolio managers.
Abbas joined Mario at Caridon in 2009 where he took a fundamental role in structuring the business and helped develop the pioneering concept of guaranteed rent.
With expertise in management, negotiation, financial structuring, due diligence and development design, he has been instrumental in helping to maximise revenue and protect investment. He oversees the financial growth and operations of all the Group’s companies.
Jennifer comes from a finance management background and has over 20 years’ experience in the industry.
She began her career in practice, working for leading firms of chartered accountants, specialising in entertainment, media and high net-worth individuals. She then moved into the pensions industry, as a Pension Fund Accountant, providing financial reporting to multi-million pound pension schemes.
Jennifer joined Caridon Property as a partner and Financial Controller in 2009 and implemented the finance and administration system. She has been instrumental in moulding the ethos of the business and is a key driver in setting up systems from day one. Jennifer has a keen eye for detailed analysis, trouble shooting and managing teams.
She has managed a multi-million pound property portfolio with a practical approach to business and is a big part of shaping the ethos of the company and future developments.
Her varied role involves her overall responsibility for the delivery of the financial reporting and she works very closely with both the CEO and MD as a key decision maker. She also assists in the selection and implementation of new systems and processes.
Akeel showed an early talent inspired by his father for developing business. He started his own company and made a profit aged just 15 years old, before becoming the top seller at a leading telecommunications provider whilst completing his college education.
In 2007, Akeel graduated with a BSc in Economics and it was during this time that he began investing and managing a small portfolio of properties in London via professional room shares and HMOs while attaining his degree.
He gained corporate experience working for GE Money Home Lending as an Intern Project Manager and this is where he attained his Green Belt Six Sigma and led on a high profile Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) compliance project.
Akeel joined Caridon soon after its inception and has played an instrumental role in the strategic development of the organisation. He continues to play an integral part in driving business growth and as Managing Director, he is tasked with the company’s expansion plans across the UK.
He aims to increase the management portfolio of properties to 5,000 units within the next five years, tripling turnover and increasing the profitability and efficiency within the organisation. Since Akeel’s appointment as Managing Director, the company turnover has increased by 40% taking it over the £10m mark within 2 years.
Akeel writes business articles for magazines such as London Business Matters and publishes his work on LinkedIn. In 2012, he was in the top 5% of viewed profiles across the global LinkedIn platform.
In his spare time, Akeel is heavily involved in his local community, mentoring young students with their professional development in preparation for further education and the work place via the local community school and London’s CASS Business School where he mentors undergraduate students. He’s also a passionate advocate of community sport, chairing his local football club to success with an FA-affiliated championship.
Lora began her highly successful career in the restaurant industry, refining her management skills at the prestigious Richoux, Whitbread Brewery and ASK Restaurant chains.
Using her extensive experience, Lora later joined the family business and acquired a split residential and commercial property freehold to co-found a new restaurant, which she successfully managed for several years, before profitably leasing it as an operating business.
Lora has always had a passion for property and aged 18, she began building an extensive portfolio of buy to let properties in South London, which she continued to manage profitably.
With her all-encompassing management skills and hands-on experience of both residential and commercial properties, Lora brings a unique perspective and inherent understanding of the rental market, having survived two recessions as an independent portfolio landlord herself.
Lora applied these skills during Caridon’s early growth phase and quickly acquired a large portfolio of independent landlords with her strong consumer relation skills and proactive attitude to excellent client service. Lora has an unparalleled work ethic and commitment to excellence in everything she undertakes.
As Portfolio Director, Lora is responsible for guiding a team of Regional Portfolio Managers throughout London, Sussex and Essex, whilst overseeing the administration of more than 1,000 units, comprising both individual and block developments. 2017 will see an additional 600 units added to Caridon’s growing portfolio and solid future growth plans.
