Caridon Property Takes on Tough Mudder for Legacy

18th April 2023

On Sunday 16th April, five members of Caridon Property team took part in the Tough Mudder challenge at Finsbury Park, north London, raising vital funds for Legacy Youth Zone, a charity which Caridon has supported for many years. So far, the team has raised £832.

True to its name, the team took on the gruelling 25 obstacle, 10k endurance challenge, including monkey bars, crawling, and climbing, whilst wading through swathes of thick mud thanks to the heavy rainfall this month.

Yasmin Lloyd, Marketing Co-ordinator of Caridon Property, who was one of the participants said: “We’ve done walks, runs and sleep outs in the past, but Tough Mudder is one of those challenges you really have to prepare for – mentally and physically! It’s a mititary style challenge – we faced cage crawls, electric shock zones, the “ladder to hell” (a 15ft ladder), the Arctic Enema (an ice bath) and, given the recent weather, more mud than you can imagine. But it was all worth it as Legacy relies solely on fundraising and donations to continue providing young people with their exceptional services and support.”

Legacy Youth Zone is a purpose-built facility in Croydon which provides a safe, inclusive, exciting place for all young people, regardless of their background, ability, or household income; and has an extensive range of facilities allowing young people to participate in a range of positive, inspiring and constructive activities.

It gives young people (aged 8 – 19, and up to 25 for those with disabilities) opportunities in the form of three things they want - somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to, all for just 50p per visit and £5 annual membership.

Sian from Legacy Youth Zone commented: ““Congratulations on completing the 10K Tough Mudder, you were all amazing and a great team! Thank you so much for taking part and for not only raising awareness for Legacy Youth Zone but also such an incredible amount!”
