Collyer’s student wins YST 2019!

Billy Venner, a student at Collyer's, has been named the winner of Young Start-up Talent 2019 at the South East Showcase, held at Thales UK.
Young Start-up Talent is a community-based programme for aspiring entrepreneurs aged 16 to 25. The winner receives a prize fund worth £50,000, made up of business products and services designed to give a new venture the support and guidance it needs to build something sustainable.
Billy reached the final alongside Rebecca Fitzgerald, Anthony Mellor, Hlanganiso Matangaidze, Tom Gray, Tom Williams and Luke Baldwin.
Caridon was represented on the judging panel by our CEO Mario Carrozzo and Managing Director Akeel Alidina. They were joined by David Kickham of Thales Group, Paul McConalogue of NatWest, Ana Christie of Sussex Chamber of Commerce, Tony Hyams-Parish of DMH Stallard, and Jon Maile of Grant Thornton UK LLP.
Supporting young entrepreneurs matters to us. Backing someone at the very start of their business, when practical help makes the most difference, sits closely with how we approach our work in housing and community support.
